This included an option to also partner
on the development of the Y's aquatic component of its new facility to be built at 4730 Colby Avenue.
At the meeting Council asked staff to further discuss and define the probable investment cost and benefits for
the three scenarios presented at the May 3,2017 council meeting. Additionally, council members requested
additional information to help assist in Council's evaluation of whether a partnership should be entered into
for any of the three scenarios.
This briefing provides council the requested additional information. Based on Council discussion of the
information(unless otherwise requested), staff will continue to work with Y staff to prepare a"finer",more
detailed set of possible terms and conditions of a potential partnership agreement for each scenario—a
neighborhood park, a neighborhood park and base pool, and a neighborhood park and expanded pool. A date
for presentation of the set of possible terms and conditions to council has not yet been established.
1
