n <br /> II. Conditions <br /> 1 Neighborhood funds are to be allocated as follows: <br /> a. $50,000 for engineering and design of 1981 projects <br /> b. $50,000 for 1980 neighborhood projects which can <br /> exhaust funds by August 1981. <br /> Neighborhood funds shall not be used for a consultant unless <br /> a contract is signed between the City and the consultant and <br /> the consultant's scope of work has been approved by the City. <br /> 2 This is a maximum figure, not a flat contract price. <br /> 3 Land acquisition funds are to be allocated as follows: <br /> a. $79,175 for City acquisition of land in Lowell. <br /> b. $112,275 for Everett Housing Authority acquisition <br /> of land for subsidized housing. <br /> No land shall be acquired without prior approval by the City. <br /> In addition, the City shall reserve the right to control how <br /> such land will be used. <br /> III. Other Recommendations <br /> 1. The neighborhood improvement projects should receive very <br /> firm commitments for 1981 Block Grant funds in the following <br /> amounts: <br /> Lowell Neighborhood Improvements $100,000 <br /> Port Gardner Neighborhood Improvements 100,000 <br /> N.E. Everett Neighborhood Improvements 100,000 <br /> Riverside Neighborhood Improvements 50,000 <br /> 2. The Land Acquisition Project (I.8 above) receives first <br /> priority for any reprogrammed Block Grant funds and any <br /> additional 1980 Block Grant funds which may be allocated <br /> to the City, up to a total of $41,650 (to be equally divided <br /> between the Everett Housing Authority and the Lowell neighbor- <br /> hood) . <br /> 3. Projects and programs proposed for 1980 Block Grant funding <br /> and not funded shall be automatically reconsidered for repro- <br /> grammed funds after the Land Acquisition Project has received <br /> the first $41,650 of reprogrammed funds. <br /> IV. The Mayor is hereby authorized to make formal application to the <br /> U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for funding <br /> assistance in accordance with this Resolution. <br /> V. Any funding assistance so received in 1980 be used for the above <br /> projects. <br /> VI.
