The intent of this measure is to remove the existing pneumatic control system and stand- <br /> 73 alone digital thermostats in the building with a new digital controls system to improve thermal comfort, reduce <br /> 74 maintenance costs, and generate energy savings. Trane will investigate the cost effectiveness of wired and <br /> 75 wireless controls, and will report findings to the City and DES. To verify wireless control functionality Trane will test <br /> 76 signal strength throughout the Administration Building during the IGA Phase. <br /> 77 <br /> 78 ECM 2: Boiler Replacement. The intent of this measure is to remove the existing boiler and pump in the <br /> 79 mechanical room, and to replace with new equipment to improve system reliability and generate energy savings. <br /> 80 Trane will investigate the cost effectiveness and energy savings associated with condensing and non-condensing <br /> 81 boilers, as well as flushing and repairing the hydronic heating system, and will report findings to the City and DES. <br /> 82 <br /> 83 ECM 4: Exterior Lighting:The intent of this ECM is replace existing HID exterior lighting fixtures with new LED <br /> 84 lighting fixtures throughout the pollution control facility campus to improve lighting quality, reduce maintenance <br /> 85 costs, and generate energy savings. <br /> 86 <br /> 87 <br /> 88 Assumptions: <br /> 89 a. City staff will provide requested information to the extent that the information is available and <br /> 90 accessible. Engineering analysis will be limited to the information available. <br /> 91 b. Record drawing files will be used as the basis for developing the preliminary drawings. Where <br /> 92 possible, Trane will attempt to verify the accuracy of these drawings. <br /> 93 c. It is assumed that existing boiler and chiller capacity is adequate and provisions for future loads or <br /> 94 growth will not be provided. <br /> 95 d. Based on the nature of the measures included in this IGA, no structural, civil or architectural drawings <br /> 96 will be required to adequately convey the necessary information for preliminary design.
