November 4, 2015 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., November 4, 2015, in the City Council Chambers of the William <br /> E. Moore Historic City Hall, President Bader presiding. Upon roll call it <br /> was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Murphy, Gipson, <br /> Bader, and Stonecipher were present. Council Members Moore, Roberts, <br /> and Tuohy were excused. <br /> President Bader led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the October 28, 2015, City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson reported on today's visit by Japanese Mayor Kenji <br /> Asano, city of Kakamigahara. The Mayor stated the meeting was <br /> orchestrated by Mayumi Smith, Everett Community College, and students <br /> from Mayor Asano's city will be attending EvCC in the near future. <br /> The Mayor introduced Julie Frauenholtz, the new Everett Community <br /> Streets Initiative coordinator, who will work to oversee the implementation <br /> of the Streets Initiative Task Force recommendations. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Murphy reported on his recent attendance at the Everett <br /> Community College groundbreaking ceremony for the new housing <br /> complex, which will be built by Koz Development and Everett-based <br /> contractor Kirtley-Cole. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher welcomed Julie Frauenholtz, Everett Streets <br /> Initiative coordinator. <br /> President Bader announced that applications are currently being accepted <br /> for positions on various boards and commissions, and he encouraged <br /> individuals to visit the City of Everett website to obtain information. <br /> President Bader also announced that due to the upcoming Veterans Day <br /> 358 <br />
