Council approved the ordinance in advance of <br /> soliciting construction bids for the improvement project. The design of the window replacements has been <br /> completed and the City has received a price from the Job Order Contractor—Forma Construction. <br /> The total project cost of$398,000 exceeds current approved funding, which is $325,000. At this point, staff <br /> recommends that a new funding ordinance be created and that ordinance 3492-16 be repealed. The new <br /> ordinance will provide sufficient funds to pay all anticipated improvement project costs through project <br /> completion. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Adopt an Ordinance creating a special improvement project entitled"Main Library Window Replacement <br /> Project",Fund 342,Program 019,to accumulate all costs for the improvement project and repealing <br /> Ordinance 3492-16, in the amount of$398,000. <br /> 125 <br />
