1 ORDINANCE NO./ ' 'c — 90 2 3 AN ORDINANCE amending the Uniform Housing Code, Ordinance No. 1613-89. 4 5 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: 6 Section 1 : Section 2(B) of Ordinance No. 1613-89 which amended Chapter 2, Section 201 (a) of the Uniform Housing Code, 1988 Edition, to read 8 as follows: 9 10 Sec. 201 (a) Authority. The building official and his designee are hereby authorized and directed to enforce all of the 11 provisions of this code. For such purposes, they shall be empowered to adopt and enforce rules and regulations to clarify 12 and expand the provisions of this code in conformity with the spirit and intent of its stated purpose. All references in this 13 code to building official shall include the building official ' s designee. 14 The building official or his designee with the approval of the 15 building official may appoint such number of technical officers and inspectors and other employees as shall be authorized from 16 time to time. Such inspectors or employees may be deputized as may be necessary to carry out the functions of the code 17 enforcement agency. 18 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 19 20 Sec. 201 (a) Authority.
