1 C. Provisions Nonexclusive. Penalty and enforcement provisions <br /> 2 provided in this ordinance are not exclusive, and the City may pursue any <br /> 3 remedy or relief it deems appropriate. <br /> 4 Section 23: RULES AND REGULATIONS. <br /> 5 The Chief of Police and the City Clerk are authorized to promulgate <br /> 6 rules and regulations for the operation of tow truck businesses consistent <br /> 7 with the terms of this ordinance. <br /> 8 Section 24: TITLE - GENDER. <br /> 9 A. All references in the ordinance to the City Clerk and Chief of <br /> 10 Police shall include their respective designees. <br /> 11 B. Any reference to or use of the terms "he," "she," "him," "her," <br /> 12 or other gender-based classification, if applicable as shown by the context <br /> 13 thereof, shall apply to the opposite gender, also. <br /> 14 Section 25: CONFLICTING PROVISIONS. <br /> 15 In the event any of the provisions of this ordinance conflict with any <br /> 16 provisions of Chapter 5.04 Everett Municipal Code or any other ordinance, <br /> 17 the provisions set forth in this ordinance shall supersede. <br /> 18 Section 26: REPEALER. <br /> 19 Ordinance No. 560-78 (Chapter 5.70 Everett Municipal Code) is <br /> 20 repealed. All other ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith are <br /> 21 hereby repealed. <br /> 22 Section 27: EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> 23 This ordinance shall become effective January 1 , 1990. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 <br /> WILLIAM E.
