Assurances <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br /> Notification of Findings of Discrimination or Non-Compliance <br /> In the event a state or federal court, or a state or federal administrative agency, makes a finding of <br /> discrimination after a due process hearing on the grounds of actual or perceived race, color, national origin,sex, <br /> age, religion, disability,sexual orientation, and gender identity in programs or activities, both in employment <br /> and in the delivery of services, against the applicant or a program partner receiving grant funds,the applicant <br /> will forward a copy of the finding to the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs,Office of Civil <br /> Rights, and the Washington State Department of Commerce. <br /> The applicant shall include a statement clearly stating whether or not the finding is related to any grant activity <br /> supported with a grant in which U.S. Department of Justice funds are involved, and shall identify all open grants <br /> utilizing U.S. Department of Justice funding by grant number and program title. <br /> Accommodations and Language Access <br /> Applicants are encouraged to allocate grant funds to support activities that help to ensure individuals with <br /> disabilities, Deaf individuals, and persons with limited English proficiency have meaningful and full access to <br /> their programs. For example,grant funds can be used to support American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter <br /> services, language interpretation and translation services, or the purchase of adaptive equipment to assist in <br /> providing services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence or stalking. <br /> As the duly authorized official of the applicant, I acknowledge applicant will comply with the terms of <br /> these Assurances, certify the online civil rights training has been completed and activities will not <br /> compromise victim safety and recovery.This acknowledgement shall be treated as a material <br /> representation of fact upon which the Department of Commerce, Office of Crime Victims Advocacy will <br /> rely if a grant is issued.
