October 4, 2017 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., October 4, 2017, in the City Council Chambers of the <br /> William E. Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Tuohy presiding. <br /> Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members <br /> Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Franklin, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. <br /> Council Member Bader was excused. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the September 27, 2017, City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. Council Members Murphy and Stonecipher <br /> abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson had no comments. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Moore expressed remorse for the victims in Las Vegas <br /> and thanked the brave first responders for their commitment to put safety <br /> of others above self. <br /> Council Member Franklin stated that in light of the discussion and new <br /> information provided at this evening's General Government Subcommittee <br /> meeting, she would like to make the following motion: <br /> Moved by Council Member Franklin, seconded by Council Member <br /> Moore, to reconsider signing of the five-year lease extension <br /> amendments with the U. S. Forest Service to allow for further <br /> discussion regarding the Public Works Service Center site <br /> relocation. <br /> Council Member Roberts asked that this discussion be accelerated so that <br /> staff can make a timely evaluation about whether or not to move forward <br /> with the lease renewal. <br /> 329 <br />
