October 4, 2017 <br /> Council Member Moore suggested that staff evaluate the structure of the <br /> contract or term of the lease. <br /> Debra Bryant, Administration, stated there may be a risk of losing the <br /> Forest Service as a lessee if the term of the lease is altered. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher asked about the effective date of the lease. <br /> City Attorney Iles stated the effective date is October 1, 2017, but a <br /> courtesy extension is possible while details are worked out. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Stonecipher who abstained and Council Member Bader who was <br /> excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Council Members Murphy and Roberts also expressed remorse for the <br /> victims of Las Vegas. <br /> Council Member Roberts reported on his attendance at the Association of <br /> Washington Cities meeting where legislative priorities were established. <br /> He spoke about this evening's General Government Subcommittee <br /> meeting discussion about the next steps for Public Works facilities, and <br /> announced the committee is tentatively looking at November 1 and <br /> December 6 as dates for the next Subcommittee meetings. <br /> President Tuohy reported on her attendance at the Everett Essentials <br /> academy class that was held Monday evening and thanked the <br /> Communications staff for their efforts. She provided a liaison report on her <br /> attendance at the Westmont and Holly Neighborhoods meeting. President <br /> Tuohy also provided an update regarding topics that will be discussed at <br /> the upcoming Council Retreat that will be held in the Council chambers on <br /> Saturday, October 21 from 8 a.m. to noon. <br /> 330 <br />
