r • * , i r Section 5 : The sum of $ 10 , 677 , 702 is hereby appropriated to Fund No . 390 "Library Construction Fund" , as follows : A. Program 921 $ 1 , 138 , 273 Evergreen Branch Library 1 . To prepare site and construct the Evergreen Branch, including landscaping and parking, furniture , and equipment . 2 . To pay a proportionate share of building consultant and architectural fees . B. Program 922 $ 9 , 539 , 429 Renovation and Addition to Main Library 1 . To renovate the existing library. 2 . To construct an addition to the Main Library which includes a stair tower and additional parking. 3 . To pay a proportionate share of building consultant and architectural fees. 4 . To install a new computer system, furniture , and equipment . 5 . To underground utilities on the block and comply with 555 Ordinance provisions . Section 6 : The Sources of funds for this appropriation shall be : Increase in Property tax Branch 1 , 065 , 400 Main Library 5 . 374 . 600 6 , 440 , 000 C. I .P. Revenue 481 , 000 General Obligation Bonds 2 , 756 , 250 Real Estate Excise Tax 765 , 579 Library Services and Construction Act Grants - Branch 72 , 873 Main Library 162 . 000 TOTAL $ 10 , 677 , 702 The funding from property taxes will not exceed $6 ,440 , 000 plus the cost of borrowing for up to 20 years. Section 7 : If these sources are augmented by private donations, project expenditures may increase a like amount . Section 8 : This ordinance shall also authorize planning, designing , and constructing museum/interpretive center and public meeting rooms , hereafter referred to as "Museum" . Section 9 : The Director of Planning and Community Development is hereby given the responsibility of conducting the tasks outlined in section 8 .
