December 9, 2015 The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., December 9, 2015, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Bader presiding. Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Gipson, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. The minutes of the December 2, 2015, City Council meeting were approved as printed. President Bader announced that Agenda Item No. 5 was being moved from the Consent Items section to the Council Briefing Agenda section. MAYOR Mayor Stephanson commented on the Broadway Bridge re-opening and thanked City staff for their work. COUNCIL Council Member Murphy provided a liaison report on his attendance yesterday at the Snohomish Health District Board meeting. He noted that the 2016 budget was approved. Council Member Murphy commented on his attendance at the Mayor's Holiday Reception in recognition of the City of Everett Boards and Commissions and thanked volunteers for serving. Council Member Roberts thanked citizens who served on the Boards and Commissions and City staff who worked on the Broadway Bridge project. He also encouraged everyone to shop locally during the holidays to support local businesses. Council Member Stonecipher echoed previous comments and thanked all Boards and Commissions volunteers. She also provided a liaison report on her attendance at the Park Board meeting yesterday.
