December 9, 2015 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., December 9, 2015, in the City Council Chambers of the William <br /> E. Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Bader presiding. Upon roll <br /> call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, <br /> Moore, Murphy, Gipson, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the December 2, 2015, City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. <br /> President Bader announced that Agenda Item No. 5 was being moved <br /> from the Consent Items section to the Council Briefing Agenda section. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson commented on the Broadway Bridge re-opening and <br /> thanked City staff for their work. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Murphy provided a liaison report on his attendance <br /> yesterday at the Snohomish Health District Board meeting. He noted that <br /> the 2016 budget was approved. Council Member Murphy commented on <br /> his attendance at the Mayor's Holiday Reception in recognition of the City <br /> of Everett Boards and Commissions and thanked volunteers for serving. <br /> Council Member Roberts thanked citizens who served on the Boards and <br /> Commissions and City staff who worked on the Broadway Bridge project. <br /> He also encouraged everyone to shop locally during the holidays to <br /> support local businesses. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher echoed previous comments and thanked all <br /> Boards and Commissions volunteers. She also provided a liaison report <br /> on her attendance at the Park Board meeting yesterday. She stated that <br /> Board members raised a concern about the esthetic appeal of the landing <br /> side of the Grand Avenue Pedestrian Bridge. Council Member <br /> 396 <br />
