5. Chlorine Building Technical Memorandum:
a) Summarize the design workshop, sizing, equipment, layout, and operations of the
proposed chlorination building and equipment.
b) Include a draft process flow diagram (PFD) of the new chlorine storage and feed
system. PFD will include a draft schematic design of the process and mechanical
features only. PFD will not include SCADA interface.
6. Structural Design Criteria Technical Memorandum:
a) Based on the selected configuration and locations of the proposed facilities,
structural engineering design criteria will be developed to guide the preliminary
design of the new Chlorine Building, Chlorine Mixing Station, Discharge Outfall, FEN
Pump Station and the proposed Weir Structure between the two lagoons. The
Structural Design Criteria will identify and define materials to be used, applicable
loading and load combinations, deflection and operations criteria. The criteria will be
outlined in a TM that would include the following:
i. Project description
ii. Occupancy Category
iii. Structural design Codes, Standards, and References
iv. Materials
v. Structural Modeling
vi. Structural support system
vii. Loads
1) Snow Load
2) Wind Loads
3) Construction Loading
4) Operation Loading
5) Permanent Loads
6) Future Loading
7) Extreme Loads
8) Dead Load
9) Live Loads
10)Traffic Loads
11)Hydraulic
12)Hydrodynamic
13) Load Combinations
viii. Soil properties and design parameters such as:
1) Unit weight
2) Vertical Modulus of Subgrade Reactions
3) Coefficient of Friction between Concrete and Soil
4) Allowable Bearing Capacity
5) Lateral Earth and Static Pressures
ix. Shallow and Deep foundations
x. Perform buoyancy calculations and propose methods to counteract buoyancy
forces if needed.
7. Identification of new Futility services:
Ei ctr cal ---,er, c point to Ch!c lie r uilc in
