He expressed <br /> his appreciation to his wife and family for their support during his 20-year <br /> career as a council member. Council Member Gipson thanked Deb <br /> Williams, Council Administrator, for her friendship. He wished Cassie <br /> Franklin, newly elected council member, the best of luck. Council Member <br /> Gipson commented on the 75 years of service to the City from the <br /> Gipson's family. Council Member Gipson left the meeting at 12:49 p.m. <br /> President Bader thanked Council Member Gipson for his 20 years of <br /> service. Council members and Mayor Stephanson echoed President <br /> Bader's comments and complimented Council Member Gipson for his <br /> dedication, best intentions, and service to the City and citizens. <br /> President Bader commented on the recent media reports regarding the <br /> Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board initiative to increase the <br /> number of retail marijuana stores. He suggested putting on hold the <br /> addition of retail marijuana stores. President Bader noted that Council <br /> Member Roberts expressed concern regarding the December 18, 2015, <br /> deadline for applications for Charter Review Committee. Council Member <br /> Bader suggested extending the deadline. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> Debra Bryant, Administration, had no report. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comments. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> There were no citizens who wished to speak. <br /> 416 <br />
