January 13, 2016 <br /> Pete McFall, Everett, spoke about the service provided by the Everett Fire <br /> Department and expressed concern for the safety of South Everett <br /> residents as a result of service cuts. <br /> Dana Nilsson, Everett, spoke about an opportunity to participate in the <br /> Joint Center for Deployment and Research in Earth-Abundant Materials, <br /> which is centered in Everett at the Washington State University campus. <br /> Larry Wewel, Everett, spoke about a legislative proposal to establish after- <br /> school learning labs in each of the middle schools in Snohomish County's <br /> school districts and urged City Council to support a resolution that is being <br /> presented to the legislature tomorrow. <br /> COUNCIL BRIEFING AGENDA: <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the Everett Station Operations and <br /> Maintenance Agreement with Sound Transit. <br /> Presented by Joan Olson, Transportation Services <br /> Council Member Bader spoke about the need for Sound Transit to place <br /> security cameras in the east parking lot. He also expressed the <br /> importance that any studies done in conjunction with Sound Transit look at <br /> where people who are parking at Everett Station are coming from. <br /> Ms. Olson stated she would take this feedback back to Transportation <br /> Services Director Tom Hingson. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated he would share Council Member Bader's <br /> comments with the Sound Transit Board and report back to Council. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member <br /> Stonecipher, to approve the following consent items: <br /> 12 <br />
