January 13, 2016 <br /> President Murphy reminded citizens that they are welcome to attend and <br /> observe the City Council retreat, which will be held on January 23, 2016, <br /> 8:00 a.m. to noon, at the Carl Gipson Senior Center. He also reminded <br /> council members to submit suggested topics for the agenda and stated he <br /> is working to secure a facilitator for this event. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> Debra Bryant, Administration, had no report. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles requested an executive session, anticipated to last no <br /> longer than 30 minutes, concerning two real estate matters and one <br /> litigation matter pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(b)(c) and RCW <br /> 42.30.110(1)(i)(c), respectively, with no announcement to follow. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Vicki Troupe, Everett, spoke about her personal loss as a result of the fire <br /> that destroyed part of The Bluffs at Evergreen apartment complex on New <br /> Year's Eve. She expressed her appreciation for the assistance she and <br /> her family received from neighbors and Everett firefighters and urged the <br /> City to make no additional budget cuts to the department. <br /> Dennis Dudder, Everett, spoke about Everett utility rate changes over the <br /> past seven years and inquired as to what residents might expect in the <br /> future. <br /> Debra Bryant, Administration, stated she would connect Mr. Dudder with <br /> the correct City staff. <br /> Sandra Brock, Arlington, spoke in support of the services provided by <br /> Everett firefighters and the potential impacts of possible fire station <br /> closures in Everett. <br /> 11 <br />
