January 6, 2016 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., January 6, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Bader presiding. <br /> OATH OF OFFICE <br /> Superior Court Judge Joseph P. Wilson administered the oath of office to <br /> Council Members Tuohy, Bader and newly elected Council Member <br /> Cassie Franklin. <br /> Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members <br /> Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Franklin, Bader, and Tuohy were present. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher was excused. <br /> Council Member Moore led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the December 30, 2015, City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson congratulated Council Members Franklin, Bader, <br /> Stonecipher and Tuohy on their elections and welcomed new Council <br /> Member Franklin. <br /> The Mayor proclaimed January 6, 2016, as "Tom Gaffney Appreciation <br /> Day" and presented the proclamation to Thomas J. Gaffney, former <br /> treasurer and board member at the Everett Public Facilities District Board <br /> of Directors. <br /> Tom Gaffney thanked the Mayor and the City Council. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council members congratulated their colleagues on their elections and <br /> welcomed Cassie Franklin.
