fI <br /> • <br /> ORDINANCE NO. /60 / - 9 i <br /> AN ORDINANCE annexing certain property located <br /> south of 108th Street SW to north of 112th Street SW <br /> along State Highway 99 <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to R.C.W. 35.13.130, a petition was presented to <br /> the City Council of the City of Everett proposing the annexation of certain <br /> property; and <br /> WHEREAS, the petition which was filed pursuant to RCW 35.13.130 was <br /> signed by owners of not less than seventy-five percent in value according to <br /> the assessed valuation for general taxes of the property proposed to be <br /> annexed; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Everett, a municipal corporation, <br /> did fix May 3, 1989 for a hearing upon said petition, and cause notice of <br /> hearing to be published in one issue of the Tribune, a newspaper of general <br /> circulation in the City, and caused said notice also to be posted in three <br /> places within the territory proposed for annexation, which notice as <br /> published and as posted specified the time and place of hearing and invited <br /> II! interested persons to appear and voice approval of the annexation; and <br /> WHEREAS, following the hearing, the Council of the City of Everett, a <br /> municipal corporation, has determined to annex all of the property described <br /> in the petition as hereinafter set forth; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board did, at their <br /> June 13, 1989 public meeting, decline to invoke jurisdiction over the <br /> territory proposed for annexation; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That the property hereinafter described, be, and the same <br /> is hereby annexed to the City of Everett: <br /> LEGAL DESCRIPTION <br /> That portion of the Southeast Quarter of Section 23 and the Southwest <br /> Quarter of Section 24, Township 28 North, Range 4 East of the Willamette <br /> Meridian, described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest Corner of the <br /> Southwest Quarter of said Section 24; thence East, along the North line of <br /> said Southwest Quarter, to the point of intersection of said North line with <br /> the Northeasterly projection of the East line of Lot 8, Block 1, Plat of <br /> Fairmount, as recorded in Volume 10 of Plats, Page 91, records of Snohomish <br /> County, Washington; thence Southeasterly, along the Northeasterly projection <br /> of the East line of said Lot 8, and along the East line of said Lot 8, to <br />
