n RESOLUTION NO. • A RESOLUTION establishing Prohibited Areas related to areas of drug and prostitution trafficking. WHEREAS, on December 19, 2007,the Council enacted Ordinances related to Violations of Court Orders and Stay Out of Areas of Prostitution Orders; and WHEREAS,the Ordinances require that Stay Out of Drug Areas ("SODA") and Stay Out of Areas of Prostitution("SOAP") orders set forth Prohibited Areas that have been established by a resolution of the City Council,at a minimum of every two years; and WHEREAS,the Ordinances require that the establishment of the Prohibited Areas be supported by information from the Police Department in the form of one or more declarations and/or other sworn testimony; and WHEREAS,the City Council has reviewed declarations of Lieutenant Jim Duffy and Sergeant Jeff Hendrickson, and/or has heard other sworn testimony; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT AS FOLLOWS: That the City Council adopts the attached recommendations for Prohibited Areas related to areas of drug and prostitution trafficking.
