EXHIBIT A <br /> LAKE CHAPLAIN ROAD AND CULVERT PROJECT <br /> CITY OF EVERETT <br /> GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING, HYDRAULIC ENGINEERING,AND PERMITTING SERVICES <br /> SCOPE OF ADDITIONAL SERVICES DURING CONSTRUCTION <br /> GEOENGINEERS JOB NO.0661-107-00 <br /> GeoEngineers, Inc. is pleased to present our scope for additional engineering consultation during <br /> construction of the Lake Chaplain Road and Culvert project to replace an existing 6-foot span by 4-foot rise <br /> pipe arch culvert along Woods Lake Creek,a tributary to the Sultan River,which flows under Lake Chaplain <br /> Road. Additional engineering consultation services are requested during construction to support the City <br /> and contractor during foundation preparation, stream placement, permitting, and additional dewatering <br /> efforts. Based on our discussions,we estimate our additional services will include the following tasks: <br /> 1. Provide additional consultation to response to contractor earthwork and grading issues,streambed <br /> materials,and slope construction. <br /> 2. Complete site visits on an as-requested basis to confirm conditions encountered and constructed <br /> are as assumed during design and provide alternate recommendations as needed. This includes <br /> recommendations for culvert foundation preparation, backfill and slope construction, permanent <br /> drainage considerations, and streambed materials and placement. <br /> 3. Project management, coordination and communications, <br /> A breakdown of our labor hours and estimated fee for the above tasks is provided in attached Exhibit B. <br /> We appreciate the opportunity to provide continued services on the Lake Chaplain Culvert project. Please <br /> call if you need additional detail or if you have any questions regarding the project, our services, or the <br /> estimated budget. <br />
