Exhibit A <br /> Bigelow Creek Bridge <br /> Scope of Work— Bridge Load Rating <br /> Bridge load rating of the new bridge will be performed in accordance with Chapter 13 of the WSDOT <br /> Bridge Design Manual,June 2017. <br /> Task 1: Project Management <br /> Assumptions: <br /> • One invoice will be prepared <br /> • No meetings to be attended. <br /> • Project setup will be required. <br /> Deliverables: <br /> • Deliver one invoice to the City <br /> Task 2: Load Rating <br /> Assumptions: • <br /> • Girders are the only members to be rated. <br /> • Load & Resistance Factor Rating(LRFR) methodology will be used. <br /> • Live loads to be evaluated are in accordance with the WSDOT Bridge Design Manual: <br /> o Design Load: HL-93 (Inventory and Operating Ratings for the National Bridge <br /> Inventory); <br /> o AASHTO Legal Loads: Type 3,Type 3S2,Type 3-3 and NRL(Notional Rating Load); <br /> o Permit Loads: Overload 1 and Overload 2. <br /> o If the rating factor for the NRL is below 1.00,then the single unit vehicles(SUV)will <br /> be evaluated for posting. <br /> o Emergency vehicles: EV2 and EV3 <br /> • Live load factors shall be based on "Unknown" average daily truck traffic in accordance with <br /> Table 13.1-1 of Bridge Design Manual. <br /> • The work does not include completing the Washington State Bridge Inventory Coding Form. <br /> • As a new bridge, the deck slab will not be load rated per the WSDOT Bridge Design Manual. <br /> • Girder ratings will be based on the girder shop drawings and the WSDOT analysis program <br /> PGSUPER will be used for the load rating analysis. <br /> • Structural condition of the girders will be assumed as"Good" such that the Condition Factor <br /> ((Ix) used in the load rating is 1.00. <br /> • The City will furnish the As-built drawings and girder shop drawings. <br /> Load Rating of 41st St Extension Page 1 Draft Updated Oct 16,2017 <br />
