<br /> WHEREAS, on June 1, 1988, the Everett City Council awarded the Bridge
<br /> Replacement Construction Contract to Construction & Rigging, Inc. , of Bothell,
<br /> Washington; and
<br /> WHEREAS, based on the construction bid and increased funding, there is a
<br /> need to amend Ordinance No. 1388-87; and
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE EVERETT CITY COUNCIL THAT:
<br /> Section 1: A special construction fund is hereby established as Fund
<br /> 391, entitled "Hewitt, Oakes, and Lombard Bridge Replacement" to accumulate
<br /> the design and construction costs required to design and construct the Hewitt,
<br /> Oakes, and Lombard Bridge Replacements including bridge approaches, street
<br /> lighting, utilities, and other necessary improvements.
<br /> Section 2: Authorization is hereby given to transfer the preliminary
<br /> engineering funds from the existing "Traffic Engineering Improvements", Fund
<br /> 368, Programs 291, 297, and 298 to the new Fund 391, Programs 924, 925, and
<br /> 926, "Hewitt, Oakes, and Lombard Bridge Replacement".
<br /> Section 3: Authorization is hereby given to accumulate costs and
<br /> distribute payments from Fund 391 for design and construction of the Hewitt,
<br /> Oakes, and Lombard Bridge Replacements including bridge approaches, street
<br /> lighting, utilities, and other necessary improvements.
<br /> Section 4: Authorization is hereby granted for the "Public Works
<br /> Director", under the direction of the Mayor, to assume full and complete
<br /> responsibility for conducting all tasks and doing all things to accomplish the
<br /> actions authorized in this ordinance.
<br /> Section 5: The sum of $1,980,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund 391,
<br /> "Hewitt, Oakes, and Lombard Bridge Replacements" as follows:

<br /> Preliminary Engineering Phase (W.O. #1685) $ 125,000
<br /> Right-of-way (W.O. #2099) 10,000
<br /> Railroad Flagging (W.O. #2110) 25,000
<br /> Construction Phase (W.O. #2100) 938,267
<br /> TOTAL ESTIMATED COST: $1,098,267
