Exhibit A
Continued
Assumptions
• The meetings will be at the City's office and attended by two Otak team members.
Task 2—Topographic Survey and Base Map Preparation
2.1 Supplemental Topographic Survey and Basemap Preparation
Supplemental survey is recommended for final design and preparation of construction documents
based on the review of available topographic data in Phase 1, and the location of the dike repairs
identified in Phase 1. The supplemental survey will include additional features for final grading of
the Buse Timber log ramp, some limited areas of the slough adjacent to the dike where bathymetric
data was not available during Phase 1, and the culvert invert elevations. The supplemental survey will
provide topographic data to assist in determining existing grade where riprap is proposed in the
slough, and provide basemapping of features to protect near the log ramp during construction.
This survey will utilize GPS real-time kinematic (RTK) equipment and/or conventional total station
instruments. This field survey data will be incorporated into the project base map sufficient for
construction documents. (Task 5).
Deliverables
• Site survey base map stamped by Professional Land Surveyor, registered in the State of
Washington.
• The base map will show 2-foot contour intervals with elevations referenced to the North
American Vertical Datum 1988 (NAVD88).
• The map will be referenced to the Washington State Plane Coordinate System.
• AutoCAD/CIV3D base map drawing (*.dwg) file of project survey with topographic (digital
terrain model—DTM) surface of surveyed area.
Assumptions
• Access and rights-of-entry will be provided by the City and DD5.
• Survey will be limited to areas that are accessible from land or a lightweight float tube, unless
boat access is otherwise provided by the City.
Task 3—Geotechnical Final Design (CCI)
Cornforth Consultants (CCI) propose to perform final geotechnical design of the dike repairs and
provide input to develop construction plans and technical specifications for geotechnical aspects of
the work. Tasks included in the proposed scope of work are described in more detail below.
DD5 Dike Repairs and Improvements Project 3
otak
K:\project\32700\32758\Contract\Phase2_Scope\Scope for Phase 2-DD5 dike repairs final_17_1010.docx
