Single family residence: $14.50 per month <br /> 2 (The monthly charge includes the current state utility tax <br /> and $2.20/mo. for Water Quality Protection and Enhancement. ) <br /> 3 <br /> B. For other than single family residence (multiple family <br /> 4 residence, commercial and industrial users, etc. ) the rate <br /> shall be computed in accordance with the following formula: <br /> 5 <br /> Sewer service charge per month = <br /> 6 <br /> Metered water usage X $14.50 <br /> 7 900 cubic feet <br /> 8 (The monthly charge includes the current state <br /> utility tax and $2.20/900 cu. ft. per month for Water <br /> 9 Quality Protection and Enhancement. ) <br /> 10 Where the use of water is such that a portion of all of the water <br /> delivered to the customer does not discharge into a City sewer <br /> 11 due to commercial or industrial use, such as loss by evaporation <br /> or any other cause or use in manufactured products, such as ice, <br /> 12 canned goods, beverages and the like, no sewer service charge <br /> shall be made because of water so used or lost; provided, <br /> 13 however, the water user shall provide proof as to the amount of <br /> sewage discharge and/or install a meter or other measuring device <br /> 14 approved by the City Engineer to determine either the amount of <br /> sewage discharge or the amount of water so used or lost. <br /> 15 <br /> In addition, where a non-residential metered water customer can <br /> 16 demonstrate that its consumption of water is now and will be <br /> substantially in excess of surface water impacts, the Public <br /> 17 Works Director is authorized to adjust the charges for water <br /> quality protection and enhancement to adequately reflect any <br /> 18 excessive disparity. The burden of proof shall be on the <br /> applicant for any adjustment and no adjustment shall be <br /> 19 retroactive.
