• <br /> 1 hereby declared to be public nuisances and the owner or his agent must <br /> abate by repair, rehabilitation, demolition, or removal in accordance with <br /> 2 this Code or by any other procedures provided by law. <br /> 3 80-10 BOARD OF APPEALS. In order to determine the suitability of <br /> alternate materials and methods of construction, to provide for reason- <br /> 4 able interpretations of this Code and to hear appeals from orders issued <br /> by the City's Building Official, the Board of Appeals created pursuant to <br /> 5 Ordinance No. 351-75 shall hear these matters. Appeals from written <br /> orders of the Building Official must be filed within thirty (30) calendar <br /> 6 days from the date of receipt of the written order by the aggrieved party. <br /> Such time limitation shall not apply to oral orders or directions given by <br /> 7 the Building Official. The aggrieved party shall cause to be made at his <br /> own expense any tests or research required to substantiate his claim. <br /> 8 <br /> 80-11 VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES. It shall be unlawful for any <br /> 9 person, firm, or corporation to install, alter, or extend any electrical <br /> equipment in the City, or cause the same to be done, contrary to or in <br /> 10 violation of any of the provisions of this Code. Any person, firm, or <br /> corporation violating any of the provisions of this Code shall be deemed <br /> 11 guilty of a misdemeanor, and each such person shall be deemed guilty of a <br /> separate offense for each and every day or portion thereof during which <br /> 12 any violation of any of the provisions of this Code is committed, <br /> continued or permitted, and upon conviction of any such violation such <br /> 13 person shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $1,000 or by <br /> imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or by both such fine and <br /> 14 imprisonment. <br /> 15 80-12 PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS. <br /> 16 (a) Permits required: No person, firm or corporation shall install, <br /> alter, replace, or extend any electrical work or equipment except <br /> 17 replacement of kind or as provided for in Section 80-13, "Work <br /> Started Without a Permit," without first obtaining a separate <br /> 18 electrical permit for each installation, alteration, replacement or <br /> extension from the Building. <br /> 19 <br /> (b) Application: To obtain a permit the applicant shall first file an <br /> 20 application therefor in writing on a form furnished for that <br /> purpose. Every such application shall: <br /> 21 <br /> (1) Identify and describe the work to be covered by the permit <br /> 22 for which application is made; <br /> 23 (2) Describe the land on which the proposed work is to be done, <br /> by house and street address; <br /> 24 <br /> (3) Indicate the use or occupancy for which the proposed work <br /> 25 is intended; <br /> 26 (4) Be accompanied by plans and specifications as required in <br /> Subsection (d) of this section; <br /> 27 <br /> (5) State the valuation of the proposed work; <br /> 28 <br /> (6) Be signed by the permittee; <br /> 29 <br /> (7) Give such other information as reasonably may be required <br /> 30 by the Building Official. <br /> 31 (c) To Whom Permits May Be Issued: A permit may be issued to <br /> anyone as permitted by Section 19.28, RCW. <br /> 32 <br /> -3- <br />
