2.2 Until notice of change is given, in accordance with Section 4 below, the CSOPS shall provide one regional law enforcement coordinator position. 2.3 Provide informational "tips" and media exposure for felony investigations in order to solve crimes and enhance public safety within the community. 3.0 Effective Date The initial term of this Agreement shall commence on January 1, 2018, and it shall continue in effect through Dec 31, 2018, unless sooner terminated as provided under this agreement. The continued participation of the Everett Police Department will be re-evaluated prior to Dec 31 of 2018 and a decision on continued funding will be made prior to January 1, 2019. 4.0 Changes This Agreement may be modified by mutual agreement of the parties. No such amendment shall be effective until it is reduced to writing and signed by all parties with the same formality as this Agreement. 5.0 Waiver No waiver by any party of any term or condition of this Agreement shall be deemed or construed as a waiver of any other term or condition, nor shall a waiver of any breach be deemed to constitute a waiver of any subsequent breach, whether of the same or of a different provision of this Agreement. 6.0 Legal Requirements All parties shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws in performing this Agreement. 7.0 Termination 7.1 Either party may terminate or suspend its participation in this Agreement, with or without reason, by providing written notice to the other Participating Entities at least thirty (30) days prior to the effective date of any such termination or suspension. 7.2 Termination shall not relieve either party of its obligations as set forth in Section 6 and shall not entitle it to any refund.
