Contents of Notice - Notice under this <br /> 4 paragraph shall provide a clear and readily <br /> understandable explanation of: <br /> 5 <br /> (i ) the potential sources of lead in the <br /> 6 drinking water, <br /> 7 (ii ) potential adverse health effects, <br /> 8 (iii ) reasonably available methods of <br /> mitigating known or potential lead <br /> 9 content in drinking water, <br /> 10 (iv) any steps the system is taking to <br /> mitigate lead content in drinking water, <br /> 11 and <br /> 12 (v) the necessity for seeking alternative <br /> water supplies, if any. <br /> 13 <br /> B. ENFORCEMENT <br /> 14 <br /> 1 . Enforcement of Prohibition: The requirements of <br /> 15 subsection (a) (1 ) shall be enforced effective June, <br /> 1988. <br /> 16 <br /> 2. Enforcement of Public Notice Requirements - The <br /> 17 requirements of subsection (a) (2) shall apply <br /> effective June, 1988. <br /> 18 <br /> C. DEFINITION OF LEAD FREE - For purposes of this section, the <br /> 19 term "lead free" - <br /> 20 1 . when used with respect to solders and flux refers to <br /> solders and flux containing not more than 0.2 percent <br /> 21 lead, and <br /> 22 2. when used with respect to pipes and pipe fittings <br /> refers to pipes and pipe fittings containing not more <br /> 23 than 8.0 percent lead. <br /> 24 ` /), <br /> 25 II LI2AM E.
