• r r , 1 Section 26: RULES AND REGULATIONS 2 The Chief of Police, City Clerk and Weights and Measures Director are 3 authorized to promulgate rules and regulations for the operation of 4 limousine for-hire consistent with the terms of this ordinance. 5 Section 27: TITLE - GENDER 6 A. All references in the ordinance to the City Clerk, Chief of Police and 7 Director of Weights and Measures shall include their respective designees. 8 B. Any reference to or use of the terms "he," "she," "him," "her,", or 9 other gender-based classification, if applicable as shown by the context thereof, shall apply to the opposite gender, also. 10 11 Section 28: CONFLICTING PROVISIONS 12 In the event any of the provisions of this ordinance conflict with any 13 provisions of Chapter 5.04 Everett Municipal Code or any other ordinance, 14 the provisions set forth in this ordinance shall supersede. 15 Section 29: SEVERABILITY 16 Should any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase 17 of this ordinance or its application to any person or situation be declared 18 unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect 19 the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance or its application 20 to any other person or situation. The City Council of the City of Everett 21 hereby declares that it would have adopted this ordinance and each section, 22 subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of the 23 fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases 24 or portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional . 25 Section 30: REPEALER 26 Chapter 17 of Ordinance No. 295-74 and Ordinance No. 's 779-81 , 910-82 27 and 1100-85 are hereby repealed. All other ordinances or parts thereof in 28 conflict herewith are hereby repealed. 29 30 31 32 14
