• <br /> • <br /> • <br /> 1 5. Engaged in the business of operating any for-hire vehicle for <br /> which a license is required, while unlicensed or on a license <br /> 2 suspension; <br /> 3 6. Used, or authorized to be used, a trade name, color scheme, or <br /> other identification upon a for-hire vehicle or in any <br /> 4 advertising or public listing, which was likely to be confused <br /> with the registered trade name, scheme, or identification of <br /> 5 another licensee or which tended to deceive or mislead the public <br /> as to the type of service offered; <br /> 6 <br /> 7. Failed to provide insurance coverage as required herein; <br /> 7 <br /> 8. Failed to pass the written examination required herein; or <br /> 8 <br /> 9. Been determined to be unfit to conduct the business. <br /> 9 <br /> C. A for-hire vehicle business license will be suspended if the licensee <br /> 10 does any of the following: <br /> 11 1 . Fails to maintain in full force and effect the insurance required <br /> in this ordinance; <br /> 12 <br /> 2. Fails to comply with the safety and sanitation requirements of <br /> 13 this ordinance; <br /> 14 3. Authorizes any person to drive a for-hire vehicle which is not <br /> equipped and in safe condition as required by City ordinance and <br /> 15 the requirements of this ordinance, as now or hereafter amended; <br /> 16 4. Allows a driver to operate a for-hire vehicle owned or operated <br /> by licensee when insufficiently covered by insurance; <br /> 17 <br /> 18 5. Allows any person to drive a for-hire vehicle which is not <br /> equipped with seat belts for all passengers; <br /> 19 6. Falsifies any information on the application; or <br /> 20 7. A for-hire vehicle owned or operated by licensee' s business was <br /> 21 operated without a valid for-hire driver's license. <br /> 22 D. A for-hire vehicle business license will be suspended or revoked if the <br /> licensee has been found to have done any of the following: <br /> 23 1 . Operated or permited the operation of the for-hire vehicle while <br /> 24 the driver is using or in possession of alcohol or controlled <br /> substances, during its operation; <br /> 25 2. Falsified any record, document, or information required to be <br /> 2G kept or submitted to the City by this ordinance, or by rule or <br /> regulation prescribed hereunder; <br /> 27 3. Violated any of the provisions of this ordinance; <br /> 28 4. Violated any of the ordinances of the City or the laws of the <br /> 29 state, the violation of which reflects unfavorably on the fitness <br /> of the license holder to offer public transportation; or <br /> 30 5. Engaged in unfair methods of competition and/or unfair or <br /> 31 deceptive acts or practices. <br /> 32 <br /> 6 <br />
