1 suspended the City Clerk shall retain the same during the period of <br /> suspension. <br /> 2 <br /> Section 9: LICENSE TRANSFERABILITY <br /> 3 <br /> No license issued pursuant to this ordinance shall be transferable <br /> 4 <br /> except in the case of a bona fide sale of the business of the owner, and <br /> 5 <br /> then only upon the filing of an application with the City requesting such <br /> 6 <br /> transfer and the applicant meeting all license requirements of this <br /> 7 <br /> ordinance. The fee for such transfer of taxicab license shall amount as set <br /> 8 <br /> forth in Section 6 of this ordinance. <br /> 9 <br /> Section 10: LIABILITY INSURANCE <br /> 10 <br /> Prior to the issuance of any for-hire vehicle business license, every <br /> 11 <br /> applicant shall file with the City Clerk proof of compliance with Chapter <br /> 12 <br /> 46.72 RCW as now or hereafter amended. In addition, in the event the <br /> 13 <br /> applicant leases its for-hire vehicles, the applicant shall file with the <br /> 14 <br /> City Clerk proof of insurance coverage of all of applicant's lessees. <br /> 15 <br /> Such insurance as required herein shall be maintained in full force and <br /> 16 <br /> effect for the full period to be covered by the license applied for, and <br /> 17 <br /> failure to do so shall result in automatic suspension. <br /> 18 <br /> Applicant shall submit a Certificate of Insurance to the City at the <br /> 19 <br /> time of license application indicating compliance with the insurance <br /> 20 <br /> requirements set forth herein and naming the City of Everett as an <br /> 21 <br /> additional insured on the insurance coverage. <br /> 22 <br /> Section 11 : FAILURE TO PAY JUDGMENT <br /> 23 <br /> Failure to pay any judgment arising out of the for-hire vehicle <br /> 24 <br /> business within thirty (30) days after the judgment becomes final or to make <br /> 25 <br /> any payment pursuant to such judgment shall result in denial , suspension, or <br /> 26 <br /> revocation of a for-hire license. No for-hire license shall be renewed if <br /> 27 <br /> payments on an outstanding final judgment are delinquent. <br /> 28 <br /> Section 12: FOR-HIRE DRIVER'S LICENSE - REQUIRED <br /> 29 <br /> A. It is unlawful for any person owning, controlling, or engaged in the <br /> 30 business of operating for-hire vehicles to employ as the driver of any <br /> such vehicle, or permit any such vehicle to be operated by a driver who <br /> 31 does not have in his/her possession a valid for-hire driver's license. <br /> 32 <br /> 8 <br />
