Dwelling, two-family means a detached building designed <br /> for and occupied by two families living independently of <br /> each other, and containing two dwelling units; same as a <br /> duplex. <br /> 23. Dwelling, multiple-family. For the definition of <br /> "multiple family dwelling," see "apartment house." <br /> 24. Duplex. For the definition of "duplex," see "dwelling, <br /> two-family." <br /> 25. Family means any number of persons related by blood, <br /> marriage or legal adoption and including foster children <br /> and exchange students living together as a single <br /> housekeeping unit. Family also means a group of not more <br /> than four related and unrelated adults and their related <br /> minor children, but not to exceed a total of eight <br /> related and unrelated persons, living together as a <br /> single not for profit housekeeping unit. For the <br /> purposes of this definition an adult is a person over the <br /> age of eighteen years old, and a minor child is a person <br /> under the age of eighteen years old. <br /> 26. Garage, private detached means an accessory building, <br /> designed or used for the shelter or storage of vehicles <br /> owned or operated by the occupants of the principal <br /> building, and separated from the principal building. <br /> 27. Garage, private attached means a portion of the principal <br /> building designed or used for the storage or shelter of <br /> vehicles owned or operated by the occupants of the <br /> principal building. <br /> 28. Garage, public means a building other than a private <br /> garage used for the care, repair or equipping of <br /> automobiles, or where such vehicles are kept for <br /> remuneration, hire or sale. <br /> -10- <br />
