Is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 3: The tasks or actions to be performed under this Ordinance are: a. Phase I. (Program 896) Conduct a "Preliminary Design Study" tc determine the most suitable ultimate bridge configuration. The study should include traffic, enviromental, archaeological, right of way, as well as structural considerations. b. Phase II (Program 897) Conduct the detail design for the bridge upgrade including road transitions and traffic control devices at both ends of the bridge. Conduct right of way procurement. c. Phase III (Program 930) The decision to construct the improvement shall be made at a later date. Section 2: That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 1325-87, which reads as follows: Section 4: The total estimated cost of this project is $4,000,000 which includes all costs related for Phase I, II, and III as outlined in Section 3. is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 4: The total estimated cost of this project is $4,821,850 which includes all costs related for Phase I, II and III as outlined in Section 3. Section 3: That Section 5 of Ordinance No. 1325-87 which reads as follows: Section 5: The sum of $110,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund No. 384 as follows: (a) Appropriation (1) Phase I Preliminary Design Study (Program 896) $110,000 (2) Phase II To be determined at a later date (3) Phase III To be determined at a later date (b) Source of Funds (1) Phase I 1987 Overlay Fund $110,000 (2) Phase II To be determined at a later date (3) Phase III To be determined at a later date NOTE: The appropriation for Phase II and Phase III shall be made at a later date by amendment to this ordinance. Preliminary indications are that the Federal government, State and Port of Everett will share in the construction cost. -2- i I
