OUTREACH ACTIVITIES <br /> • OUTREACH AND MARKETING TO RESIDENTS <br /> Catholic Housing Services will work with the Everett Housing Authority, City of Everett, <br /> Snohomish County and other partners to identify eligible residents and the process for intake, <br /> prior to construction completion. <br /> • OUTREACH TO SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOOD <br /> In partnership with the City of Everett, Catholic Housing Services participated in a community <br /> meeting on October 4,2016 to share conceptual details with neighbors and local business <br /> owners. <br /> In conjunction with the land use application to the City of Everett,residents within a 500 ft <br /> radius of the site will receive letters informing them of Catholic Housing Services' intent to <br /> develop this project and will be invited to send comments to the City of Everett Planning <br /> • Department. A public hearing will be required as part of the land use approval process with an <br /> opportunity for community members to provide comments and voice concerns. <br /> Thirty days prior to the start of construction Catholic Housing Services will mail a letter to the <br /> approximately 220 residences and businesses in the 500ft radius of the site specifying the <br /> construction schedule, as well as a contact number for any construction-related nuisances. <br /> Two weeks prior to construction completion Catholic Housing Services will mail another <br /> introduction letter to those same addresses within a 500 ft radius specifying an opening date and <br /> a contact number for the on-site management staff. This phone number, answered by building <br /> staff 24/7,will be maintained throughout operations so that neighbors can have a single point of <br /> contact for any perceived nuisances created by the project or its' residents. This phone number <br /> will also be published on Catholic Housing Services webpage for the project and will be made <br /> available to the City of Everett to post on their website for the Safe Streets Housing Initiative. If <br /> this phone number should change during the first five years of development, Catholic Housing <br /> Services will send out another mailing to residents and businesses within a 500ft radius <br /> specifying the new phone number. In addition,the new number will be updated on Catholic <br /> Housing Services'project webpage and a letter will be sent to the City of Everett Department of <br /> Housing and Community updating the phone number. <br /> • POTENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD IMPACTS AND MITIGATION <br /> With the addition of 70 new apartments at this location the surrounding neighbors will likely <br /> notice residents walking or riding their bicycles to and from the building toward the bike paths, <br /> transit hubs, and amenities concentrated along Evergreen Way.
