OUTREACH ACTIVITIES • OUTREACH AND MARKETING TO RESIDENTS Catholic Housing Services will work with the Everett Housing Authority, City of Everett, Snohomish County and other partners to identify eligible residents and the process for intake, prior to construction completion. • OUTREACH TO SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOOD In partnership with the City of Everett, Catholic Housing Services participated in a community meeting on October 4,2016 to share conceptual details with neighbors and local business owners. In conjunction with the land use application to the City of Everett,residents within a 500 ft radius of the site will receive letters informing them of Catholic Housing Services' intent to develop this project and will be invited to send comments to the City of Everett Planning • Department. A public hearing will be required as part of the land use approval process with an opportunity for community members to provide comments and voice concerns. Thirty days prior to the start of construction Catholic Housing Services will mail a letter to the approximately 220 residences and businesses in the 500ft radius of the site specifying the construction schedule, as well as a contact number for any construction-related nuisances. Two weeks prior to construction completion Catholic Housing Services will mail another introduction letter to those same addresses within a 500 ft radius specifying an opening date and a contact number for the on-site management staff. This phone number, answered by building staff 24/7,will be maintained throughout operations so that neighbors can have a single point of contact for any perceived nuisances created by the project or its' residents. This phone number will also be published on Catholic Housing Services webpage for the project and will be made available to the City of Everett to post on their website for the Safe Streets Housing Initiative. If this phone number should change during the first five years of development, Catholic Housing Services will send out another mailing to residents and businesses within a 500ft radius specifying the new phone number. In addition,the new number will be updated on Catholic Housing Services'project webpage and a letter will be sent to the City of Everett Department of Housing and Community updating the phone number. • POTENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD IMPACTS AND MITIGATION With the addition of 70 new apartments at this location the surrounding neighbors will likely notice residents walking or riding their bicycles to and from the building toward the bike paths, transit hubs, and amenities concentrated along Evergreen Way.
