Implementation of BMPs for the control of sedimentation
and erosion will minimize water quality impacts in the project area, but
these measures will not be observable or measurable 20 miles downstream
in estuarine areas.
Indirect Effects
Operation of the upgraded Holly Drive Lift Station will allow the City of Everett and the
District to continue conveying wastewater to the Everett Water Pollution Control Facility
(WPCF) for advanced secondary treatment and discharge to Puget Sound in accordance
with the facility's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit for
the next 20 years, which will protect water quality and marine habitat for ESA-protected
species through the planning period.
Beneficial Effects
Implementation of the proposed Holly Drive Lift Station Upgrade project will replace
wastewater pumping and conveyance infrastructure that has reached the end of its useful
_ / \`
 /y
`_ _
