Revisions are
necessary before a permit can be issued. Please provide a response letter with two sets of
revised drawings, with areas of revisions clouded on the drawings. Plan review will resume
when the requested information is submitted and sufficient detail and information is shown to
ensure that the proposed structures will be constructed in compliance with all adopted codes.
Please plan on inserting the revisions to the original plan sets at the counter. If revisions are
coming directly from the blue-printer, please make arrangements with them to print two full
replacement sets, once you have received comments from all departments (Public Works,
Utilities, Planning, and Fire departments). Please check online at everettwa.gov/permits to see
the review status of your submittal.
General
1. The method of compliance with the IEBC should be identified in the project data code
analysis, to include whether it is prescriptive, work area, or performance compliance.
Please identify if the work is Level II or III alterations, to include whether the ceiling is
remaining, light fixtures are being added or replaced, quantities, etc. There are also
several forms for energy compliance which address scope of new work to determine
level of compliance required by WSEC chapter 5. Please submit these forms, as
referenced on the TI checklist: https://everettwa.gov/DocumentCenter/Home/View/119
Occupancy
1. Please include the occupancy load calculations in the project data on the cover sheet.
The projected occupant load has significantly increased from the last approved permit
B0812-010.
a. Since interior drive lanes have been added to the building, the occupancy types
should be amended to include S-2 vehicular use, in addition to S-1 storage, per
IBC section 406, as amended by the State of Washington. This is a change of
use within the occupancy, which would trigger Level III compliance and IEBC
Chapters 9 and 10.
b. Please summarize total occupant load count by occupancy and floor area, per
IBC table 1004.1.2.
c. Please include plumbing fixture calculations per IBC Chapter 29, table 2902.1, as
amended by the State of Washington.
2. Please include allowable height and area calculations for the three occupancies, and
indicate whether the occupancies are accessory, and whether they are separated or
non-separated, per IBC section 508.
3. Please show the following on the drawings:
,
CITY OF EVERETT• 3200 Cedar Street• Everett, WA 98201 • (425) 257-8813• Page 1 %
