a. A discernible path of egress should be shown with illuminated exit signs, per IBC <br /> section 1011.1, to include the existing building and mezzanine. <br /> b. Emergency lighting, per IBC section 1006.1. <br /> c. Specific signage at the main entrance door and the exit doors to indicate that <br /> these doors will be open during business hours, per IBC section 1010.1.9.3, item <br /> 2.2. <br /> d. The door schedule should indicate that any locking devices on these doors are <br /> readily distinguishable as being locked. <br /> Construction <br /> 1. Please include the plans for the existing mezzanine floor plan and the intended use. <br /> This floor area should be included in the occupancy and plumbing fi�ure calculations <br /> requested. <br /> 2. If the mezzanine is being used for storage, please provide a letter that the structure has <br /> been reviewed to meet this intended maximum load by the engineer of record. <br /> a. The plans should include the requirements for posting the allowable live load for <br /> the mezzanine in accordance with IBC 106.1. <br /> 3. The new suspended ceiling details should show a 2 inch angle at the wall, per the <br /> Northwest Ceiling Bureau details on document 401. <br /> Accessi bi I ity <br /> 1. Please indicate the accessib�e path of travel from the warehouse storage area to the <br /> office cafeteria and restrooms, to include a cross-hatched path and level changes, where <br /> the path of travel crosses the vehicular lanes of travel, per IBC section 1104.2 and <br /> 1106.6, as amended by the State of Washington. <br /> 2. Please identify the main entrance, and the accessible route from the accessible parking <br /> to the main entrance of the building. Since new parking has been added, and this is a <br /> Level III change of occupancy, please indicate the following on the plans. <br /> a. The building permit site plan should indicate the location of van accessible parking, <br /> width dimensions, access aisles for accessible parking, curb cuts, accessible parking <br /> signage, and identifiable accessible routes to the building served, per IBC sections <br /> 1104.3, 1106.1, 1106.4, 1106.5 and 1106.6, and IEBC sections 410.5 and 410.7. <br /> The costs for providing the accessible route are not required to exceed 20% of the <br /> cost of the alterations to the primary function area. <br /> b. Accessible parking spaces should be located on the shortest accessible route to the <br /> main pedestrian entrance, per IBC section 1106.6, as amended by the State of <br /> Washington. <br /> c. The total number of required parking spaces should be summarized on the plans, to <br /> include the specific number of van accessible parking spaces required, per IBC <br /> section 1106.5 and IBC table 1106.1. <br /> d. All new work on the parking facility, to include the requirements listed above, should <br /> be dimensioned and clearly identified on the drawings for plan review and <br /> inspection. <br /> 3.
