ORDINANCE NO. 41.67-- 17 AN ORDINANCE creating a special construction fund entitled "1987 Block Grant Neighborhood Improvement Fund No. 387 authorizing the construction of improvements as voted on by Councils for Northeast Everett ( $29, 243) on January 20, 1987, Port Gardner ($22, 100) on February 9, 1987, and Riverside ( $28, 400) on February 10, 1987 and authorizing $79, 743 for these improvements. WHEREAS, the City Council has recognized the need to improve Port Gardner, Northeast Everett and Riverside neighborhoods ; and WHEREAS , the City Council has allocated from the 1987 Block Grant fund $79, 743 to make the needed improvements and to be divided among Port Gardner, Riverside and Northeast Everett Neighborhoods ; and • WHEREAS, the Port Gardner, Riverside, and Northeast Everett Neighborhood residents were asked to suggest improvements and then specify their priorities for the expenditure of Block Grant Funds ; and WHEREAS, numerous neighborhood meetings have been held, and the following neighborhood-wide meetings, where residents voted , were held in the neighborhoods on the improvement projects to be recommended to City Council. January 20, 1987 in Northeast Everett February 9, 1987 in Riverside February 10, 1987 in Port Gardner WHEREAS , on February 11 , 1987 the City Council approved Resolution 2817 authorizing the preparation of the plans and systems ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Everett, that : Section 1 : A special construction fund is hereby established as Fund No . 387 entitled "1987 Block Grant Neighborhood Improvement Fund" to accomplish the actions authorized in subsequent sections of this Ordinance.
