4 CONSTRUCTION STORMWATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PLAN
This project will be disturbing less than one acre of land, and is therefore required to provide
construction stormwater pollution prevention by complying with Small Parcel Requirements#1-#5.
This is an outline of how each of the five requirements are being met.
Minimum Requirement#1- Provision of a Construction Access Route
The existing entrance to the alley from 10`h St will be used for construction access. If the existing
asphalt pavement remains in place, a stabilized construction entrance does not need to be
constructed. If the asphalt pavement is removed while construction access is required, a stabilized
construction entrance must be installed.
.
BMPs proposed: BMP ES.60-Construction Road Access
Minimum Requirement#2-Stabilization of Denuded Areas
Bare and/or disturbed soils shall remain uncovered and/or unstabilized for no more than 2 days
from October 1 through April 30, and for no more than 7 days from May 1 through September 30.
Bare and/or disturbed soils shall be stabilized by establishing vegetation (sodding or seeding),
mulching with straw, or covering with plastic or nets and blankets. Care should be taken to phase
construction activities on the site to minimize the amount of disturbed soils at one time.
BMPs proposed: BMP ES.10- Planned Clearing and Grading, BMP ES.40- Removal of Excess Soil,
BMP ES.70-Soil Stabilization
Minimum Requirement#3- Protection of Adlacent Properties
Silt fence, straw wattles or equivalent perimeter protection BMPs will be implemented around the
work area to protect adjacent properties or roadways from sediment-laden construction
stormwater runoff. Soil stockpiles/banks shall be positioned a reasonable distance behind the curb
or work limits to increase the distance eroded soil must travel to reach the storm system.
BMPs proposed: BMP ES.30- Excavated Basement Soil, BMP ES.50- Management of Soil Banks, BMP
ES.80-Street Cleaning
Minimum Requirement#4- Maintenance of Erosion and Sediment Control BMPs
All BMPs must be maintained to ensure proper performance. This includes daily inspections of the
proposed TESC measures during the wet season, weekly inspections during the dry season, and
inspections immediately following any major storm events.
Minimum Requirement#5- Implementation of Other BMPs as Determined Necessary by the City
Additional BMPs determined necessary by the City shall be implemented in a timely manner.
Refer to Appendix A for a copy of the project Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control plan and
BMP details. Applicable large project BMP details are also included.
EVCC STUDENT HOUSING-STORMWATER SITE PLAN-REVISED.DOCX 7
