1 ORDINANCE NO. / 3 7`(p 0 2 AN ORDINANCE amending the City's Parking Ordinance, Ordinance 3 No. 994-83 . 4 5 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: 6 Section 1: Subsection B of Section 27 of Ordinance No. 994-83 which 7 reads as follows: 8 B. If no request for a hearing or payment be made within ten 9 (10) calendar days of the date of mailing the Delinquency Notice, the registered owner of the vehicle is hereby 10 declared delinquent and the City may bring suit for judgment on the penalties plus costs of suit. The City may 11 also turn this matter over to a collection agency. 12 is hereby amended to read as follows: 13 14 B. If no request for a hearing be made within three (3 ) calendar days prior to the hearing date or payment be made 15 prior to the hearing date, the registered owner of the vehicle is hereby declared delinquent and the City may 16 bring suit for judgment on the penalties plus costs of suit. The city may also turn this matter over to a 17 collection agency. 18 Section 2: Subsection D of Section 30 of Ordinance No. 994-83 which 19 reads as follows: 20 21 D. A statement that the vehicle will be declared a nuisance unless: 22 1. All outstanding, unpaid penalties for violation of 23 the Parking Ordinance of the City are paid within 10 calendar days of the date of mailing of the 24 notification; or 25 2. A request for hearing is filed within 10 calendar days of the date of mailing with the City Treasurer 26 or his designee. 27 is hereby amended to read as follows: 28 29 D. A statement that the vehicle will be declared a nuisance unless: 30 1. All outstanding citations and unpaid penalties for 31 violation of the Parking Ordinance of the City are paid prior to the hearing date; or 32
