1 ORDINANCE NO. / 3 7`(p 0 <br /> 2 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending the City's Parking Ordinance, Ordinance <br /> 3 No. 994-83 . <br /> 4 <br /> 5 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 6 Section 1: Subsection B of Section 27 of Ordinance No. 994-83 which <br /> 7 reads as follows: <br /> 8 <br /> B. If no request for a hearing or payment be made within ten <br /> 9 (10) calendar days of the date of mailing the Delinquency <br /> Notice, the registered owner of the vehicle is hereby <br /> 10 declared delinquent and the City may bring suit for <br /> judgment on the penalties plus costs of suit. The City may <br /> 11 also turn this matter over to a collection agency. <br /> 12 <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 13 <br /> 14 B. If no request for a hearing be made within three (3 ) <br /> calendar days prior to the hearing date or payment be made <br /> 15 prior to the hearing date, the registered owner of the <br /> vehicle is hereby declared delinquent and the City may <br /> 16 bring suit for judgment on the penalties plus costs of <br /> suit. The city may also turn this matter over to a <br /> 17 collection agency. <br /> 18 <br /> Section 2: Subsection D of Section 30 of Ordinance No. 994-83 which <br /> 19 <br /> reads as follows: <br /> 20 <br /> 21 D. A statement that the vehicle will be declared a nuisance <br /> unless: <br /> 22 <br /> 1. All outstanding, unpaid penalties for violation of <br /> 23 the Parking Ordinance of the City are paid within 10 <br /> calendar days of the date of mailing of the <br /> 24 notification; or <br /> 25 2. A request for hearing is filed within 10 calendar <br /> days of the date of mailing with the City Treasurer <br /> 26 or his designee. <br /> 27 <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 28 <br /> 29 D. A statement that the vehicle will be declared a nuisance <br /> unless: <br /> 30 <br /> 1. All outstanding citations and unpaid penalties for <br /> 31 violation of the Parking Ordinance of the City are <br /> paid prior to the hearing date; or <br /> 32 <br />
