January 10, 2018 <br /> COUNCIL BRIEFING AGENDA: <br /> Resolution establishing Public Process for evaluation of options for <br /> Representation by District on City Council, with the object of City <br /> Council placing a District Representation Measure on the Ballot for <br /> the November 2018 General Election. <br /> Presented by Council President Roberts <br /> Discussion took place regarding potential geographic borders, the <br /> implementation timeline, recommendations for transition, the work of the <br /> Everett District Now (EDN) group, and the need for an informed public <br /> process. <br /> Bob Creamer, Pat Fogarty-Cramer, Lois Wentink, Chris Glans, Paul <br /> Townsell, M.J. Donovan-Creamer, Liz Vogeli, Jackie Minchew, Diane <br /> Claussen, Greg Lineberry, Charlene Rawson, Megan Dunn, all of Everett, <br /> spoke in support of EDN's districting proposal. <br /> Katrina Lindahl, Everett, spoke in support of the proposed resolution. <br /> Adopt Resolution establishing Prohibited Areas related to areas of <br /> prostitution <br /> Presented by Flora Diaz, Legal, and Lieutenant Duffy, <br /> Everett Police Department <br /> Briefing related to Uber and Lyft For-Hire Ordinance Concerns <br /> Presented by Katie Rathbun, Legal <br /> Council Member Stonecipher asked how frequently TNC's and taxi <br /> companies conduct background checks. <br /> Katie Rathbun, Legal, stated she will provide this information at a later date. <br /> Following discussion, Council decided to move forward with the TNCs <br /> proposed amendments. Council President Roberts directed staff to prepare <br /> an amended ordinance for a first reading. <br /> 18 <br />
