1 Section 18: CRIMINAL JURY TRIALS. Jury trials shall be allowed in all <br /> 2 criminal cases unless waived by the defendant. <br /> 3 Section 19: CRIMINAL PROCESS. All criminal process issued by the <br /> 4 municipal court shall be in the name of the State of Washington and run throughout the <br /> 5 State, and be directed to and served by the Chief of Police, marshal, or other police <br /> 6 officer of any city or to a Sheriff in the State. <br /> 7 Section 20: NIGHT SESSIONS. In addition to day sessions, the municipal <br /> 8 court is authorized to hold and shall hold night sessions. <br /> 9 Section 21: REVENUE-DISPOSITION. <br /> 10 A. Costs may be imposed as provided in district court. All fees, costs, <br /> 11 except those costs awarded to prevailing parties under RCW 4.84.010 and RCW <br /> 12 36.18.040 or other similar statutes, fines, forfeitures and other money imposed by any <br /> 13 municipal court for the violation of any municipal or town ordinances shall be collected <br /> 14 by the court clerk and, together with any other revenues received by the clerk, shall be <br /> 15 deposited with the city or town treasurer as a part of the general fund of the city or <br /> 16 town, or deposited in such other fund of the city or town, or deposited in such other <br /> 17 funds as may be designated by the laws of the State of Washington. <br /> 18 B. The city treasurer shall remit monthly thirty-two percent of the money <br /> 19 received under this section, other than for parking infractions, to the state treasurer. <br /> 20 Money remitted under this subsection to the state treasurer shall be deposited as <br /> 21 provided in RCW 43.08.250. <br /> 22 C. The balance of the money received under this section shall be retained by <br /> 23 the City and deposited as provided by law. <br /> 24 Section 22: 1986 BUDGET. The budget appropriation for 1986 for the <br /> 25 municipal court shall be $74,604 as follows: <br /> 26 <br /> Building Rental (6 months) $ 6,000 <br /> 27 Recording Equipment 9,447 <br /> Furniture 24,674 <br /> 28 Remodeling 34,484 <br /> $ 74,604 <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Section 23: SAVINGS. The enactments of this chapter shall not affect any <br /> 31 case, proceeding, appeal or other matter currently pending in the Everett District <br /> 32 <br /> 6 <br />
