Section 20.14 of the 1985 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby <br /> 8 amended by deleting: <br /> 9 <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> 10 <br /> 20.14 A board shall be appointed and this board shall act as a Board of <br /> 11 Appeals in making a correct determination of any appeal arising from <br /> actions of the Administrative Authority. Appeals shall be made in writing <br /> 12 and the appellant may appear in person before the Board or be <br /> represented by an attorney and may introduce evidence to support his <br /> 13 claims. Appeals shall be heard at reasonable times at the convenience of <br /> the Board but not later than 30 days after receipt thereof. The appellant <br /> 14 shall cause to be made at his own expense any tests or research required <br /> by the Board to substantiate his claims. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 and inserting in its place: <br /> 17 <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> 18 <br /> 20.14 In order to determine the suitability of alternate materials and <br /> 19 methods of construction, to provide for reasonable interpretations of this <br /> Code and to hear appeals from written orders issued by the City's Building <br /> 20 Official, the Board of Appeals created pursuant to Ordinance No. 351-75 <br /> shall hear these matters. Appeals from written orders of the Building <br /> 21 Official must be filed within thirty calendar days from the date of receipt <br /> of the written order by the aggrieved party. The aggrieved party shall <br /> 22 cause to be made at his own expense any tests or research required to <br /> substantiate his claim. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 H. Section 102(c) of the 1985 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code is <br /> 25 hereby amended by deleting: <br /> 26 <br /> (c) Administrative Authority - The Administrative Authority is <br /> 27 the individual official, board, department, or agency established and <br /> authorized by a state, county, city, or other political subdivision created <br /> 28 by law to administer and enforce the provisions of the plumbing code as <br /> adopted or amended. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 and inserting in its place: <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br /> 4 <br />
