1 (c) Administrative Authority - The Administrative Authority is <br /> the Building Official and is the official authorized to administer and <br /> 2 enforce the provisions of this Code. <br /> 3 <br /> I. Section 117(g) of the 1985 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code is <br /> 4 <br /> hereby amended by deleting: <br /> 5 <br /> 6 (g) Plumbing System - The plumbing system means and includes <br /> all potable water supply and distribution pipes, all plumbing fixtures and <br /> 7 traps, all drainage and vent pipe and all building drains, including their <br /> respective joints and connection, devices, receptacles and appurtenances <br /> 8 within the property lines of the premises and shall include potable water <br /> piping, potable water treating or using equipment, fuel gas piping, water <br /> 9 heaters and vents for same. <br /> 10 <br /> and inserting in its place: <br /> 11 <br /> 12 (g) Plumbing System - The plumbing system means and includes <br /> all potable water systems and distribution pipes, all plumbing fixtures and <br /> 13 traps, all drainage and vent pipe and all building drains, including their <br /> respective joints and connections, devices, receptacles and appurtenances <br /> 14 within the property lines of the premises and shall include potable water <br /> piping, and potable water treating or using equipment. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 J. Section 1004 of the 1985 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby <br /> 17 amended by deleting: <br /> 18 <br /> (a) Water pipe and fittings shall be of brass, copper, cast iron, <br /> 19 galvanized malleable iron, galvanized wrought iron; galvanized steel, lead <br /> or other approved materials. Asbestos-cement, PB, PE, or PVC water <br /> 20 pipe manufactured to recognized standards may be used for cold water <br /> distribution systems outside a building. PB water pipe and tubing may be <br /> 21 used for hot and cold water distribution systems within a building. All <br /> materials used in the water supply system, except valves and similar <br /> 22 devices shall be of a like material, except where otherwise approved by <br /> the Administrative Authority. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 and inserting in its place: <br /> 25 <br /> (a) Water pipe and fittings shall be of brass, copper, cast iron, <br /> 26 galvanized malleable iron, galvanized wrought iron, galvanized steel, lead <br /> or other approved material.
