• <br /> • <br /> 1 If a preliminary judicial determination sustaining the City's <br /> denial of the subject license is not obtained within five (5) <br /> 2 working days from the date the complaint is served, an interim <br /> license shall be issued under this chapter by operation of the <br /> 3 law. Said interim license shall issue in any event if a final <br /> judicial determination on the merits is not obtained within <br /> 4 twenty (20) days from the date the complaint is filed. In such <br /> case, the interim license will remain in effect until a final <br /> 5 judicial determination on the merits is reached. Provided, <br /> however, that any delays caused or requested by the applicant <br /> 6 shall be excluded from the above-mentioned twenty (20) day period. <br /> 7 <br /> be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 8 <br /> 9 The license application shall be approved or disapproved within <br /> ten (10) working days from the date of filing a completed <br /> 10 application which complies with the requirements of this chapter, <br /> unless the applicant agrees to an extension of the time period in <br /> 11 writing. <br /> 12 In the event that the City denies a license, the City shall <br /> within the aforesaid ten (10) day period notify the applicant of <br /> 13 the denial and the reasons therefor. Should the applicant <br /> 14 disagree with the City's determination, he must file a notice of <br /> nonacceptance with the City Attorney's Office within ten (10) <br /> 15 working days of receipt of the notification of denial. <br /> 16 The City shall, within five (5) working days following receipt of <br /> the notice of nonacceptance, apply to the Snohomish County court <br /> 17 for a judicial determination as to whether the applicant's <br /> 18 license was properly denied.
