1 Section 26: Discontinuing Service. <br /> 2 Should a customer desire to discontinue the use of water supplied to <br /> 3 any premises, notice in writing must be given to the Utilities Division. <br /> 4 The water shall then be shut off by the Utilities Division and no other <br /> 5 person. If a premises is being vacated or the customer moving to another <br /> 6 location or leaving for an extended period of time, the customer shall pay <br /> 7 the closing water bill for the premises at the time water service is <br /> 8 discontinued. No remission of rates shall be made without the written <br /> 9 notice described in this section and the furnishing of such written notice <br /> 10 shall be a prerequisite and incumbent upon the person requesting the <br /> 11 shut-off. <br /> 12 Section 27: Resuming Service. <br /> 13 Should it be desired to resume water service to a premises after the <br /> 14 service has been shut off, a written notice by the owner or his authorized <br /> 15 agent shall be given to the Utilities Division after which the water shall <br /> 16 be turned on, provided payment in full has been rendered to the Utilities <br /> 17 Division for all arrears and outstanding charges against the premises and <br /> 18 the owner thereof. <br /> 19 Section 28: Turn-Ons. <br /> 20 No charge shall be assessed for turn-offs. There shall be a special <br /> 21 charge of $10.00 for all turn-ons, or such amount as is provided under the <br /> 22 current water rates and charges. The turn-on charge shall be added to and <br /> 23 considered part of the regular water billing for the premises. <br /> 24 Section 29: Alteration of Existing Service. <br /> 25 After a service connection shall have been installed to the premises <br /> 26 and the owner of such premises desires to have the existing service <br /> 27 connection relocated or changed by either an increase or decrease in size, <br /> 28 or otherwise altered, the work necessary to accomplish such change shall be <br /> 29 performed by the Utilities Division on that portion of the service <br /> 30 connection between the main and up to and including the service cock or <br /> 31 meter. All costs thereof shall be paid by the person requesting the change <br /> 32 or alteration. <br /> 10 <br />
