Section 32: Service Connection Transfer to New Main.
1
In the event a service connection to any premises is not connected to a
2
main in front of or immediately adjacent to the premises, then at such time
3
as a main is installed in front of or adjacent to the premises, the
4
Utilities Division may after notifying the owner thereof, transfer the
5
service connection to the new main without charge and immediately thereafter
6
remove the old service connection. The owner shall, at the same time and at
7
his expense, connect his existing piping and plumbing facilities to the new
8
service cock or meter so installed.
9
Section 33: Services for New Developments.
10
At such time as the Utilities Division or developer is installing a
11
section of distribution system piping in a new plat or subdivision, the
12
Utilities Division or developer shall, at the same time, install water
13
service piping from the main to each of the platted lots. Similarly, for other developments requiring new mains, the developer
17
shall install the services at the time of main installation. The cost of
18
materials, labor and equipment necessary to complete the service line
19
installations to City standards shall be borne by the developer or local
20
improvement district paying for the distribution system piping. At such
21
time as a request is made for a building permit, the individual making the
22
23 application shall deposit with the Utilities Division the sum of sixty
dollars or such amount as specified in the current ordinance or resolution
24
25 setting rates and charges for the water system, for a service connection of
26 any size which has been previously installed complete by a developer or
27 local improvement district.
