January 24, 2018 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 12:30 p.m., January 24, 2018, in the City Council Chambers of the <br /> William E. Moore Historic City Hall, Council Vice President Bader <br /> presiding. Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council <br /> Members Moore, Murphy, McNeal, Bader, and Tuohy were present. <br /> Council Members Roberts and Stonecipher were excused. <br /> Council Member Murphy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the January 17, 2018, City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Franklin announced that her second Mayoral Directive on <br /> community planning and economic development was issued today. She <br /> stated the directive is intended to expand our existing businesses and <br /> partnerships and work with local organizations to help distinguish Everett <br /> and compete across the region and globally. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Members congratulated Mayor Franklin on her State of the City <br /> address this morning. <br /> Council Member Moore stated the Council districting resolution will be <br /> distributed to council members for consideration and action next week. <br /> Council Member McNeal provided a liaison report on her attendance at <br /> the Casino Road Stakeholders meeting yesterday. She also stated she <br /> attended the Silver Lake Neighborhood meeting last evening. <br /> Council Member Tuohy reported she would distribute the 2018 Council <br /> Liaison assignments for the neighborhood associations. She stated the <br /> liaison assignments will also be posted on the City website. <br /> 31 <br />
