1 '? <br /> EVERETT STATION PARK-AND-RIDE EXPANSION <br /> Agreement with Perteet Inc. • January 2018 <br /> Everett grading requirements.Finished grades will be identified by contours at 1'intervals with spot <br /> elevations given at critical locations to ensure that the design is adequately conveyed to a contractor.Up <br /> to two(2)site cross sections will be prepared,plus one profile of the access drive.Earthwork design and <br /> calculations will be performed using Civil 3D software. <br /> • Drainage • <br /> Drainage plans showing the collection,conveyance and treatment of stormwater runoff from the site.A <br /> detailed layout and cross section for each facility will be provided with specific requirements for the <br /> construction of these facilities.Conveyance systems will be shown in plan and profile. <br /> • Consolidated Utility Plans <br /> No structures are proposed for the project and only limited utility connections are needed.The only <br /> anticipated utilities are water services for irrigation,fire hydrants as needed,and power and data services <br /> for site illumination systems.No additional water and sewer facilities are proposed,including fire <br /> • suppression.The utility plans will also be used to show all utilities in a single location,including power, <br /> data,and storm drainage systems in order to help identify potential conflicts. <br /> • Paving <br /> Identify surfacing and surface features.It is anticipated that the majority of the site will be constructed <br /> using asphalt pavement.The paving plans will also identify surfacing materials for pedestrian and <br /> landscaping areas. <br /> • Signage,Striping,and Site Amenities <br /> Identify striping,traffic signage,and site features necessary for the operation of the park and ride facility. <br /> Signage will be limited to standard signage available in the MUTCD or other sources,except for the site <br /> monument signs.Design of site identification signs and other transit specific signage will be provided by <br /> Everett Transit. <br /> • • Survey Control and Horizontal Control Plan <br /> Identify the locations and dimensions of proposed site features in a manner that allows the contractor to <br /> correctly locate the facilities.Location information will be a combination of coordinates,Station/Offset <br /> callouts and measured dimensions as best conveys the intent of the design.The Survey Control Plan will <br /> be prepared by an engineer based on previously completed site survey.It will not be a boundary survey or <br /> recordable survey document. <br /> • Landscaping Plan <br /> Prepare landscaping plans identifying locations and types of plantings in accordance with City of Everett <br /> parking standards.Landscaping approach and plant selection will be coordinated with Everett Transit. <br /> Irrigation plans will not be prepared as irrigation will be prepared as a contractor designed item which <br /> will be covered in the project specifications. <br /> • Opinion of Probable Cost <br /> Prepare an opinion of the probable construction cost for the project based on the 60%design plans.The <br /> opinion will capture all significant project costs to the extent known,and provide sufficient contingency to <br /> • <br /> gauge the final cost of the project. <br /> • Specifications <br /> Specifications will be prepared in WSDOT/APWA format.The 60%specifications will address <br /> significant design elements but will leave some details for later completion.Everett Transit will provide all <br /> contract boilerplate as well as any additional bid forms and contract language required outside <br /> 11 <br /> File location:X:\Everett,City of\Promo Efforts\20170146-Everett Station P&R Expansion\Prom o\Business Development\Scope\Everett Transit Parking <br /> Lot_Scope2018-1-10.docx <br /> 93 <br />
