It is understood that the primary usa,7c ot the struct�re shall remain as part <br />of the District's electric system and the installation of the ��'CF equipment is a secondary function w�hich may <br />reqLiire m.odification ta or replaceme.nt of the exiszing su�ucture. <br />The District �ill be responsib]e for developing [he design loads for the su-ucture and performing t}ie design of the <br />structure wt�ich inciudes all equipment mounted on the strticture includin� the �VCF equipment per the Washington <br />Adniinistrative Code 296-46, the National Electric Safety Code {NESCj and electric utility standards and practices. <br />The an��lysis wilI use WCF antenna lnads and design provided by T-Mobil�. <br />Utility su•iictures have lono been exem�t 6•orn the Uniform Building Code (UBC} under section 101.3 of the 1997 <br />code and the chanbe to the internat.ional 13uilding Codc (TBC) in 2000 through 2012, under section 105.2.3 has not <br />eliminated that exemption. Puhlic utili�y structures are specifically exempt from the provision of the IBC and as <br />such design calcula[ions are not required to be provided ro the permittin� agency. However, the Dis�rict <br />ackno�n•ledges that V4'CF is a secondary t�unction on the utility s[ructure and the owner of such ec�uipment will be. <br />tequired to eomply w�ith the county permittin� and review pcoccss. Uistrict canstrttcuon personnel or other <br />designated qualificd electrical w�orkers will be responsible for any w�ork on the structure in and above the. electric <br />supply space. whicli involves work such as electric lines, equipment m�diFications, installation of a new pole andlor <br />inst�allation or maintenance of antennas and cnble.
