How will you manage rooftop runoff after the project is completed?
The same as in existing condition. Rooftop runoff will drain to splash block and will be
dispersed over the surrounding lawn.
4. Then flows through the gutters until reaching a catch basin just south of the
project site.
[-Permanent Drainage Plan:
You are required to"infiltrate, retain, and disperse stormwater"on your site to the maximum extent
you can without causing erosion or flooding.
See Volume III, Chapter 12 of the 2010 Stormwater Management Manual for stormwater facility
requirements: https://everettwa.gov/DocumentCenter/Home/View/1214
Determine which options you must use for downspout disconnect by considering the following in order:
• BMP 12.30 On-site Infiltration Areas
• BMP 12.40 Raingardens
• BMP 12.50 Downspout Dispersion
Provide your Evaluation below and Show where these will take place on a site map:
Considering the site characteristic both option 1 and 2 are not feasible due the following:
The types of soils as identified above are Alderwood soils which requires an area of 250 square
feet of bottom area per 1,000 square feet of equivalent impervious area in order to implement an
on-site infiltration area or raingarden.
The required setback requirements to structures and property lines is 10 feet.
Due to the area required and setback it not feasible to fit on the site one of these facilities.
Page 3 of
CITY OF EVERETT I 3200 Cedar Street l Everett, WA 98201 1425-257-8810 everettwa.gov
